Great thermometer to have on hand
After my last thermometer quit working, I needed something that would work quickly and easily for my family- with kids ranging in age from 16- 2 months, we all know speed is of the essence (esp when trying to take a toddlers temperature). This thermometer was at a comparable price and it works exactly as stated. I really appreciate the speed readings, esp for the younger kids, and the different indicator lights are great, too. There have been multiple times I’ve taken someone’s temp in the dark and this makes it that much easier to not disturb those that are trying to rest while sick. I also have one of those infrared head reader types of thermometers, but I never know how truly accurate those are, I feel this is a more efficient way to get an accurate reading- which is so important to me when it comes to fevers in kids!

Best thermometer around! Super fast readings
We’ve had previous iterations of this thermometer and absolutely loved them. When the battery died after several years, it was cheaper to get a new one than buy a pack of batteries when we only needed one, so we did. Absolutely love the large display that changes color based on reading. Easy to use, accurate- just what we needed!

It’s pretty good
I have five thermometers, and this is my second favorite. My favorite is my BBT thermometer–that one is very accurate and reliable, but it takes sooo long. This one is really fast, which matters because it’s for use on my toddler, who will not hold still long enough for my other thermometers. I have a forehead infrared thermometer, but that one is very inconsistent and inaccurate. This one seems to be pretty accurate. The display is big, so it’s easy to read the temperature, and I appreciate the color coded light to give me a vibe check at a glance. I don’t care that it doesn’t come with a cover, because I only use it in my toddler’s armpit.

This is a very basic electronic thermometer. It does exactly what it is supposed to and is rather easy to read. It takes a reading quickly and it’s simple design functions exactly as it should.

Fast and reliable – very very tight battery cap / battery replacement cover
How did I ever live without this. It does all that it says it does. I love the colors that change depending on the temperature reading, and the large numbers. It IS fast! I haven’t taken the time to compare or check accuracy against other thermometers – but assume that Vicks knows what they are doing, and that it will be well within acceptable tollerance for accuracy. That it’s so fast means you get a QUICK read – when children or fussy or feeling badly. That is a GOOD thing. I love it – and I’m so glad we’ve made so much progress on this front. The only thing I don’t know yet, is how long the battery will last. One note – the battery compartment is VERY VERY tight. Not a bad idea to put a little vaseline on the cap when you take it off, to make it easier to spin off next time. Other than that – no concerns at all. Thanks VICKS!

An Easy To Use High Quality Thermometer
The easy-to-read thermometer’s “color-coded” readings are great. This thermometer has a more robust battery than the run of the mill, button cell batteries that exhaust themselves rapidly. The thermometer seems to be of very good quality. All in all, a pleasure to use.
