Q. Can I use a menstrual cup if I am very active in sports and fitness activities?

Ans. Women who lead active lives love the freedom of using a menstrual cup while participating in sports and activities. They can be worn safely and comfortably during any activity.

Q. Should my menstrual cup be leaking?

Ans. Definitely not. If a menstrual cup is leaking, there’s something wrong. Check that the cup unfolded completely. Make sure the rim of the cup is right below or right around the cervix. If the cervix is pushed to the side, the menstrual flow will not be collected. If your flow is heavy, you may need to schedule to empty it sooner or consider a higher-capacity cup. Some women notice that their cup is only half-filled when they remove it despite experiencing some leakage. It happens often that the cervix sits lower into a cup and compromises some of the capacity. A larger capacity cup or a different shape might suit you better.

Q. How to clean your menstrual cup?

Ans: A few simple, handy techniques can prep you for using a menstrual cup perfectly- and maintaining its durability over time. It is best to use cold water to rinse your cup when you are cleaning it, as hot water can sometimes seal in scents and odors. Also, it is best to sanitize the cup before you start using it, and also after each period cycle is over. All you have to do is boil the cup in plain water for not more than 10 minutes and then dry it in the open air. Be sure to store the cup in a breathable bag and not in an air-tight container.

If you want to sterilize the cup monthly- you can do so by cleaning it with any gentle or mild, scent-free cleanser. Be sure to avoid any harsh chemicals or alcohol-based products when washing the cup. Regular and timely care will ensure your cup remains fresh as new and lasts you a very long time.

Q. Is a menstrual cup good as compared to tampons and sanitary pads?

Ans: Now, you don’t need to spend a lot of your hard-earned money on tampons and sanitary pads. Buy Shordy menstrual Cup once, and you can use it for a long time.

Rather than buying pads and other menstrual products, you can use this cup as equal to 5000 pads. You can simply wash and reuse it. So, no more additional cost every month. Our cup is a little stuff, easy to carry anywhere. And, with our cup, you can easily do your day-to-day activities.

Q. Is it difficult to insert and remove a menstrual cup?

Ans: The Best Cup for beginners, for period pros, and for women who are tired of outdated menstrual care. Shordy Cup is designed in a way that it can be easily removed as easily as a tampon. Shordy Cup is super soft, flexible, and can adjust in length to fit your needs. It keeps you safe from leaks and mishaps for many hours, so you can spend your day sleeping in, staying up late, or doing whatever makes you happy.

Q. Can I wear a menstrual cup at night while I sleep?

Yes. Just make sure to empty the cup right before you go to bed. This will give you a fresh cup with full capacity at the start of your night. Remember that most menstrual cups hold a lot more capacity than regular absorbency tampon regular or reusable cotton pads. Many women use menstrual cups because they allow them a good night’s rest.

If you’re experiencing overflow during the night, you may want to consider using a higher-capacity cup while you’re resting.

Q. Is it difficult to insert and remove a menstrual cup?

Menstrual cups have a learning curve just like everything else that’s new to you. It may be difficult to insert and remove a menstrual cup when you’re first starting out but with practice and patience, you’ll become a pro in no time! A majority of the women who had issues when they first started using a cup say that they’re so happy that they stuck with it and would never go back to disposables.

Since everyone is different, we’ll all have varying experiences with any given cup. While someone may have an easy time inserting and removing one cup, the next person may find it

Q. I just started my period, can I use a menstrual cup?

Yes, if a teen is comfortable with the inserting process and it doesn’t go against any of their religious beliefs, then there is no reason that someone who just started their first period can’t use a menstrual cup.

Q. Can I wear a menstrual cup when I bathe and swim?

Yes. Menstrual cups can be worn while bathing, showering, and swimming without inconvenience. They offer the user discreet protection when partaking in activities that include water. No strings, no wings, and no more soggy tampons!

You may consider using a higher-capacity cup to prolong your activities. If you have a heavy period it will allow you more time to play, or if you have a light flow and would like to continue to wear the cup for the suggested maximum time (typically 8-12 hours maximum).

Q. How often do I empty my menstrual cup?

Ans. Menstrual cups hold a higher volume than disposable menstrual products. Someone who typically changes their organic tampon or pads for women every two hours may find that they can use their cup for 4-6 hours before needing to empty it. It all depends on how light or heavy your flow is. Because everyone has a different definition of light, moderate, and heavy, you will need to learn how long you are able to use the cup based on your own flow. A good idea would be to empty your cup when you would normally change out a tampon regular or reusable cotton pads. If there is still a lot of empty space in the cup, you can add a couple more hours to your next scheduled change. Over time, you will start to notice when your period lightens up and you can adjust your schedule to add even more time. If your period is light, you may only need to empty your cup every 12 hours or at least twice a day.

The average large-sized menstrual cup holds approximately 28ml. However, there are some ‘high-capacity cups that you can consider if you either have a very heavy flow or have a lighter flow and would like to prolong the use to the suggested maximum hours (maximum of 8-12 hours depending on the brand).

Here are some of the high capacity cups and capacity measurements to the rim:

Shordy Cup Large – 28 ml

Shordy Cup Small – 23 ml

It’s never too late to make your life easier…
Fyi, there are some facts and opinions in my writing. If you are someone who like to be warned about TMI (too much information), then look away from my review! Hope that helps!Okay I’m not not a pic of this in use!! Actually I’m only reviewing like this, so Amazon will tell me a joke! The last one was:”Why did turtle break up with the giraffe? They never saw eye to eye”Amazon is pretty funny for telling is joke, but I think them telling jokes is funnier than the joke itself😂 but seriously, I do want to review this, because if you are a person who menstruates, this device could make your life easier.Okay the review… It’s a life saver using this… Cups and discs are so much easier to use than tampons. I have had endometriosis removed twice; last time was 2014, so my periods are really B A D. Like, shuts me down completely for days. My body goes through so many changes. I also have PCOS and my ovaries have become home based to many cysts that’s come and go over time. It’s not easy to deal with pelvic pain of any kind, but what I did not know for too many years, is that tampons were majorly contributing to that pain. Menstrual cups like this one, are designed to fit into the space, inside the body, much higher than a tampon would. Tampons sit lower than that, and put constant pressure on your ovaries. Try that with a larger cyst! Ouch! I still have very painful cycles and painful ovulation between (mittelschmerz), but at least now, I can stop from unknowingly making them worse.I have a box of gloves in each bathroom, that I use when I insert and remove. I have CKD and kidney stones, so it’s normal for me to have gloves anyway. It really makes the entire process so much easier, because my sink is not within arms reach for easy cleaning. I dump the blood in the toilet, then clean it off in the sink and use it again. I do bleach my sink after, but that is just because it would really bother me if I just walked away. The instructions say that you can use it for 12 hours at a time. I recommend that you follow this guideline, because there is still a risk of TSS (toxic shock syndrome), which we are warned about in every box of tampons, so it’s not really a surprise. It is very rare, but If you haven’t heard of it, Google and learn about it, so you can protect yourself and stay on top of your health.Storage is so simple… You just clean off the silicone cup, which is medical grade silicone, and you store it in the handy case it comes. When it’s dry, I put it back in the case with a couple of gloves, so it’s ready if I need to bring it with me anywhere. It’s inconspicuous and easy to travel with. The snap on the case is substantial, and it holds really well. Overall, the case fits in the palm of my hand. See pic.I thought about getting period panties as back up, but right now, all I am using is this cup. And I love it. It genuinely makes my life so much easier.Menstrual cups have changed my life in ways I did not expect. The reasons include, decreaded perioy pain, reusability, easy to insert and remove, no waste whatsoever (except the glove, but that’s a personal choice), inconspicuous storage case for portability and travel, ready to clean. I can’t even tell I am using it!I recommend this product to a any person who experiences a period. Once you get used to process, you will be so much happier for it. As a matter of fact, it’s so invisably felt, that you might need to set alarms for every 12 hours, as a reminder to empty and clean it! I will prob get a second one to keep in my purse all the time. You will not regret this purchase and you’ll be prepared the next time Aunt Flo comes to town, with all your cousins in tow! 😉

    Comfortable, Hygienic, and Travel-Friendly
I really like this menstrual cup. The storage case is great for traveling or keeping it stored in a clean and hygienic way. The material feels soft and comfortable, and it does not change color with use, which I really appreciate. It’s also very easy to clean. The base is slightly shorter than other cups I’ve tried, and I personally love that because it’s not visible and you don’t feel it at all while wearing it. Overall, a very comfortable and practical product. Highly recommended!

    A great alternative!
So it’s only been 24 hours since I started using this, but here’s how it went:I got the small- I’m 28 and have not had kids. When I got it, it ended up being towards the end of my period, so a light flow. I was more comfortable starting then anyway, I was less concerned about leaking and much of a mess.I folded it and used according to the diagrams and didn’t have any trouble. Compared to inserting a tampon with an applicator, it does feel like you’re going deeper. There won’t be anything external (like a string with a tampon). It also seemed like it didn’t “pop” open all the way from being folded. I read some reviews that said that’s okay, so I went with it. Again, I had very light flow and wasn’t overly concerned. In the end there wasn’t any leaking.I wore it for several hours and had no issues. I was nervous about suction and taking it out, but didn’t have issues there. I specifically chose this one because of the ball at the end, it really does make it easier to take out I think. There was a little bit of suction (and it did make a noise lol). With inserting and removing, I did have one foot on the edge of the tub, which seemed to give me the angle I needed.I put it back in to wear overnight. In the middle of the night, I woke up and I noticed some very mild cramping/pressure where it was placed. It could definitely have been that I didn’t have it exactly right, or from using tampons previously. It wasn’t anything that would stop my normal activities or prevent me from using it again.Overall, I’m pretty happy with how it’s going! The price was amazing compared to others too.

    Highly recommended
This is my second SHORDY cup, and I love them! I recommend this brand to all of my friends looking for a good quality and functional menstrual cup. Easy to remove & clean. The size is perfect for me. They make smaller & larger sizes. I don’t experience any leaks. Also I’m obsessed with the powder blue color.

    Very Good, But Takes Practice
The menstrual cup is good quality, soft, and comes with a very handy storage case. At first, it was a bit tricky to insert correctly, but after a few tries, it worked really well. I had no leaks and felt comfortable most of the time. Great for those with some experience or willing to learn.

    Highly Recommend!
I use this literally every month. I was skeptical about using cups at first, but now I don’t like using anything else. I have had a little bit of staining on the little nub, but no where else. I love that it comes with a case to put it in as well. It is very easy to sanitize and cleans out nicely between uses with just water. The size is more comparable to a “medium” in other brands, but still fit great. If you’re looking to get away from pads and tampons, do it and you won’t regret it!

Wanted to Love It, But Comfort Was an Issue
I really wanted to switch to a more sustainable option, so I gave the Menstrual Cup a try. I used it for an entire cycle, even though I didn’t love it at first, because I wanted to give it a fair chance.Unfortunately, the material felt too firm for me, which made it uncomfortable to wear for long periods. I appreciate that it’s eco-friendly and comes with a storage box, but comfort is a big factor and this just didn’t work for my body.I know menstrual cups can be life-changing for some, and I wish this one had worked for me. If you’re used to firmer cups or don’t mind a bit of rigidity, it might be worth trying. But for those with sensitivity or who are new to cups, this might not be the best fit.

This is the first menstrual cup I ever used. At first, it was really good, couldn’t feel it all. Then I realized my cramps were getting much worse- extending to the last day of my period, which never happens to me. I realized the material of the cup is too stiff for my body, as my cramps immediately went away when I took it out. Other than that, it worked really well- a bit of learning curve, but so much cleaner feeling in the long run. I will try another cup and see if it works for me, but I’m sure this one will work for many 🙂

As a me trust cup user 7 years ago I bought this by emergency but i was surprised how soft the material was, it’s stuff but that helps for the cup to open inside, i can use it all day long without worrying!

I previously used an OrganiCup, but after switching to Shordi I’ve had a much better experience. For me, Shordi stands out because:• It’s much easier to apply.• The fit is better, so I don’t experience leaks like I did with OrganiCup.• The tail is rounded with no sharp edges, unlike OrganiCup’s, which often scratched and caused discomfort. It’s been a more comfortable and reliable option.

My first time with a cup. A bit of a learning curve. I got a small and it got stuck for a Day. I almost went to the er. Even if I break the suction it doesn’t feel like I did so it’s a little scary. I do like it obviously but I’d prefer if there was a ring that broke the seal upon removal but still a great product. Saves you so much money. I got this cup cheaper then a box of tampons or pads… love it. Just a little scary lol

A wonderful alternative to single use menstrual products. It takes some time to get used to it, and I had a few accidents early on but it’s really wonderful once you get past that phase.
