Good kitchen scale.
Happy with this scale. Good value, long battery life, easy to use and accurate. Compact and easy to store. The base is large enough for even my big mixing bowl. Looks nice, and easy to clean.

Great First Impression – I already love it. [ and still love it a year later]
[ UPDATE: After a year of using this scale everyday, I still love it. Still on the original batteries. This just does its job. Things I appreciate most about it : It remembers the last scale setting ( grams, oz) so you do not have the select each time. 2. If you put your bowl or other container on the scale before you turn the scale on, it removes or zero out the weight of the container (tare weight) . 3. It is easy to read. 4. The battery life is excellent. It dose its thing without getting in the way.]I felt I need to “weigh” in on this product after receiving it. It is just a scale …. however I had such a positive first impression I thought I would share.1. Packaging: The packaging was such as to give then impression that this company really cares about making quality products. The box not only performs the function of protecting the product during shipping but is made of high quality materials with a zip pull to open. There was substantial rubber/foam cushioning between the weigh plate and the rest of the unit to protect the sensor from impacts and vibration during shipping. The display was protected with a film to prevent potential scratching during shipping. A card encouraging registering the product for a 5 YEAR WARRANTY. The packing materials look and felt nice.2. SCALE: This scale has an LED backlight that sets is apart from its competitors making it not only much easier to read but also provides a touch of elegance. The buttons are touch sensitive an seem to work we well. Sometimes membrane click buttons used on other scales are persnickety. There are multiple units selection Pounds (1.25 pounds), pounds and ounces 1 pound 4.0 oz), ounces ( 20 oz) grams ( 567 grams) and several liquid measures). I really like that this scale remembers the last unit of measure used when you turn it off and back on again. My last scale made me reselect the units each time it turned it on. There are two buttons. One button is the power/ zero button. Touch to turn on, touching while on zero the scale (tare). Press and hold 3 seconds to turn off. The other button it the Unit/Hold button. Touch briefly to cycle through and select the different units, press an hold the button to hold (freeze) the weight on the display.Summary:While it is “just” a scale, the design is well thought out. It looks and feels nice. It is one of those products that just does its job and does not demand that you think about it. You only notice how good it is when you use another scale and miss this one. Purchased this on sale for almost $22. A little higher than other scales but at this juncture i feel well worth the difference. I have no opinion at the point as to accuracy and battery life. I suspect accuracy is not an issue given the attention to detail of the manufacturer.

Looks good, works well. Functional with tare function and accurate within 1 gram. Minimalist instructions as it is simple to use.

Accurate and compact but updates slower than my old scale
This scale arrived smartly packaged and feels like a good quality unit. I like that it’s a more compact form factor than my previous unit. I also like that it takes AAA batteries instead of coin cells. The display is nice and bright. However, one thing I don’t like is the display updates a hair slower than my old unit. It’s enough to be noticeable and makes it feel slow.

Comparing this with my older scale, and weighing items with known weights, this scale seems to be pretty accurate. It is easy to clean, takes up little space and has a pretty good weight capacity – more than sufficient for my kitchen needs. However, there is a bit of lag time, so add items slowly! I use this at least 3-4 times a week to make pet meals, so while adding ingredients, when you get close to the desired amounts, I suggest you add slowly or you could easily go over. Especially important when adding heavier items such as water and other liquids. It’s easy to use otherwise, and is at a good price point.

Do my paranoid “press every corner” test and it just smirks and stays spot-on. This is a great looking scale and slim too. It takes very little space on the kitchen counter. I’ve had it about a year and I love it. I use it daily to weigh food to calculate the calories. It’s very easy to use and durable as well. You can use it with any container and zero it out to get the right weight. It has several weights like pounds, oz, fluid oz, and grams. You can easily switch between the function. For instance, if you weigh in oz, you can switch to grams without having to remove the food and start over. This makes for better efficiency and functionality. I think it’s an excellent value for the money.Greater Goods stands by their products too. I recently had another scale that failed after 2 years and since they guaranteed the scale for 5 years, they promptly replaced it.

Durable – Accurate – Good for weighing heavy items!
This scale is better than my previous one. It measures in kg/gram/ounces/pounds. Has its own tear measure by putting container on scale before turning on…or by pressing the on/off button to tear after use of a previous item. I use this for measuring multiple ingredients where exact weight is needed to create a recipe sensitive to certain things. It may be a little more difficult to wipe clean under the scale as my previous was all completely flat and easy to wipe. However, this one I feel gives me a more accurate measurement than my previous one so I don’t mind the extra work to clean under scale.
