Great scale, but possibly overwhelming for beginners
I’m at the start of my fitness and weight loss journey, so having a scale that measures not just weight, but body fat and other metrics is really helpful to give me a variety of data that I can use to track my progress. Weight isn’t the only, or even the best, metric to use when trying to track fitness goals, so other metrics are useful too.The scale itself looks great and is easy to set up. It comes with batteries already installed, so all you have to do is take it out of the box, scan the QR code to install the Fitdays app, and then connect the scale to your phone. All told, it takes five minutes or less to get it up and running.The display is bright and colorful, and works quickly to provide your stats. It takes a minute (maybe less) for the stats to sync to your phone, and it displays your body fat metrics on a diagram of a human body. I will say that this part (the blue screenshot in my review) confused me, as it doesn’t provide any tool tips to fully explain what you’re looking at. That said if you go to the “Report” section of the app, it shows a more detailed report of your results, which provides more context and makes it easier to understand (as seen in the white screenshot). My results show I have a lot of work ahead of me, but I’m excited to take it on!The Fitdays app is great and provides a ton of data. I’m really interested to see how my results change over time. That said, I do think that the scale and app can be overwhelming, especially to a relative beginner like me. It’s a lot of data to work with, and someone who is just starting a weight loss journey might find it daunting. So this scale may make more sense for someone who is already further along on a fitness journey and is specifically looking for more data to help track their progress.My only quibble with this scale is that I don’t love the retractable handle. You have to stand just right to make sure it’s working properly. The retractable part can also be kind of finicky to pull out and put back in. I worry a little bit about the longevity of the handle, as repeatedly having to pull the cord around may make it more likely to break.Overall, though, I think the scale is good quality, the app works great, and it’s easy to use. The price point is high, though, so I think I’d recommend it only for people who can make the most use out of the data it provides. For a beginner, I’d look at one of the more simple and affordable scales that this brand provides!

Perhaps mine is defective…UPDATE! TALKS! ACCURATE! COOL BODY ANALYSES!
I want to love this scale. Looking at the listing and other reviews, I should be loving it, but no.After unboxing it I worked a few minutes at connecting it to the app via bluetooth. After about 30 minutes or so, that mission was accomplished. Then attempting to take my first weight with the other very cool measurements. Error after error. The scale will take a weight, but when it comes to completing the other measurements, the music literally stops and an error is displayed on the app. According to the app, there are about 7 reasons why it’s not completing the measurements:1. Started the measurement without scale screen showing 02. During the measurement process, the thighs contacted too much3. Moving or loosening fingers during the measurement4. There was body sway during the measurement5. Feet were not on the conductive area or there was interruption of6. Poor contact between fingers and handle7. The handle was not picked up in time during the measurementAfter many, MANY tries I gave up for the evening. The next day I tried again, this time wearing pants to hopefully get rid of the thigh touch problem. Same issues…except that day I was wearing shoes and socks. After a while of getting nowhere I examined the error possibilities again and took off my socks. This time the music played for longer and I was sure I was about to have a successful go with getting all of the cool measurements, but NO. The music cut of after several seconds, and the error screen popped up over and over and over yet again.Re-read the instructions and watched the instructional video on the app. Discovered there was a sensor bar on the back of the handlebars for all 4 fingertips, plus the thumb slots on the front. Proceeded to weigh again about 30 more times, with the same results – music playing for several seconds and then a ‘ding’ from the app on my phone indicating an error. Adjusted my feet many more times to make sure my feet were on the correct sensors (which are NOT marked, btw). Errors.The cord for the handle bar is difficult to retract most of the time. I am annoyed that I need to wear pants to weigh, as they just add weight to the measurement. (ARGH! The frustration!)At this point I feel that I have tried everything I can and have made every adjustment possible and followed every direction to get the analysis readings to no avail; and, at this point I am concerned that this one may be defective.I will think on this a day or two and go back over all of the instructions and possible error issues a few more times to see if there is yet something else I’m missing or doing wrong. I am also frustrated that this device is so fiddly to use.If I cannot get it to do the measurements I may see if I can swap this one out and try a different one, thinking that this one might be defective.I will update this review with my discoveries.UPDATE: 2/4/2026Exchange for this item was an easy process. As I was cleaning and packing it for shipment I had this on a countertop and realized that one of the foot pads was not touching, and probably making this scale off balance. I couldn’t see an immediate way to balance it, so I continued packaging it for its trip back home.Replacement received, and within a couple of minutes it was out of the box and paired. I had to re-pair this one as a new scale because they have their own mac address. Touched the scale and she immediately started talking and giving instructions, which didn’t happen with the defective one. All my practice paid off because I got on, picked up the handlebars, and got my weight and ALL of the other smart body readings without one glitch. Checked with my other scales, and she’s good!Sometimes defects happen. It’s nice when they can be remedied as quickly and easily as this one was. This scale works perfectly as advertised. I am upgrading the rating for this scale from a frustrating 1 star review to a very satisfied-with-this-product-and-service 5 star review.Recommended.
