There are 2 versions of this scale. My scale uses 2 AAA batteries rather than flat pancake batteries. I believe that will result in fewer battery changes. In addition, rechargeable AAA’s are available. (Scale comes with batteries installed).This scale just works. Tap it to turn on, in moments it self tares, then step on it and read your weight. No fancy bells or whistles. The red readout is large enough and easy to read. Because of multiple poor accuracy reviews, I tested consistency of readout by waiting for the scale turn, then weighing myself 3 to 5 more times. (Repeated this a few times over 2 days). The results were exactly the same, to the 10th of a pound. NOTE: it is normal for body weight to fluctuate throughout the day. For most accurate and consistent weight measurement, weigh yourself just after your morning bathroom visit and before eating or drinking anything.FYI, I searched for an analog scale for days prior to deciding on this on. I was tired of the short battery life of electric scales using pancake batteries. Quality analog scales are expensive. This version of this scale is perfect. Inexpensive, easy to read, step on it and see your weight, consistent repeated measurements, light weight, and uses inexpensive AAA batteries.IT JUST WORKS!!

I’m trying to lose weight
So that’s why I bought his scale. I wanted something as simple to use as possible.You basically just step on it, the numbers bounce around for a second then stop at your weight, and the number stays lit up for a few seconds.It’s very easy to read. I weigh myself every morning before I eat or drink anything. Usually after a shower. Once I tested it before drinking water and right after. It exactly measured the water intake as I drank 2 16 ounce glasses of water and the scale showed an increase in exactly 2 pounds.Yes it’s kind of plasticky as others have mentioned but it’s fine.I didn’t want one of those glass scales or one with bmi.So far I have lost about 6 pounds. Mostly by eating smaller proportions, trying to eat more s=healthy salads, and walking. Only 14 pounds to go!It’s a very simple functional scale.And it’s helpful to be able to see how much I weigh every day so I can see what works and what doesn’t.

Easy to read digital
It’s not glass, and the non-slip top is great.It sometimes gives an inaccurate weight—not sure why. But I step off, try again and it seems to calibrate. I re-weigh 2-3 more times and it then gives the same reading. So sometimes the first reading is off by a couple pounds.Otherwise, it gives a fairly consistent weight read out at least within a pound or two. Good enough for me, and it wasn’t an expensive.

Accurate scale and the bumps do help to make the scale feel more stable and comfortable. It has a “settle in” weight after a few seconds – it doe does not keep bouncing around if you move. Overall, best of the bunch!

Scale review
I wanted a scale that was not glass, as most are glass now. I’m not sure what’s inside, but the surface is metal, not glass. The red LED display is much easier to read than LCD displays, however the black cover makes it kind of dim. It’s a scale!

This scale never worked properly from the beginning. It worked off and on. I wish that I had returned it, but I kept hoping that the problem would resolve itself. Now it’s too late to return. I wish I could give 0 stars.
