Not for nipples…but…lips!
So, I’ve had painfully cracked bleeding chapped lips for as long as I can remember. Year round. Constant. I’ve tried everything. Every lip balm, vaseline, anything anyone ever suggested. I even saw a doctor, but he couldn’t shed any light on the situation. “Your lip is bleeding” is actually the first thing my now husband said to me on our first date! How romantic!Anyway, Every 4-5 months I would try to google different things to try to find a cause and/or a solution. Finally at my last google session, I found a page where someone recommended Lanolin. It sort of made me feel a little strange when I found out where it came from, but I was willing to try it. I was mostly afraid of the texture/flavor. I knew putting it on my lips was not an issue since its used by breastfeeding mothers, and it doesn’t need to be cleaned off before nursing.Let me tell you…this was a godsend! I have not had a crack in my lips since I have started using this. I do get some flakes of dry skin on them here or there, but my entire bottom lip was painfully shedding multiple times a day. I can totally deal with a flake of dry skin here or there to remove. I don’t even need to remember to put it on constantly, just a few times a day. The texture is actually fantastic, less greasy than vaseline, but not waxy as I was afraid. You just need a little teeny dab and it lasts for a long time.If this can soothe my chronically chapped lips, I would bet it does an equally fantastic job on sore nipples. I would suggest getting it before you need it just as a preventative. Possibly give it a baby shower gift if you had luck with it yourself.I couldn’t be happier!

I was trying to think of something that would work for my son (10 years old) and I remembered my painful breastfeeding experience and the over night relief they gave me…so I figured…why not try it for my son? I apply twice a day and it keeps his really bad areas covered and not cracking!!! Great product! Wish they came in larger tubes 😉

I use this to moisturize my lips and the do not get chapped. Works better than chap stick.

Nursing Essential!
With my first daughter, I experienced sore, bleeding, cracked nipples, which is horrible! I’d forgotten to bring this product to the hospital (as I got a tube at my baby shower). I started applying it after every feeding, and soon my nipples were healed. I recommend it for every mom as a proactive product. Use it when you begin breastfeeding, after feeding, and you may not experience much soreness. Now that I’m pregnant with my second baby, I plan to use it initially. I do recall that after using it for about 2-3 weeks, my nipples were strong enough to generally forgo using it.

I had not been able to find lanolin locally and was really glad to get some more. I use a little bit rubbed in for hand cream. I am 76 and my hands like lanolin used several times a day. Especially when I have worked outside, or washed dishes by hand. It is produced for nursing mothers, but it is a good grade of lanolin, which used to be used for the hands also! That is what I used it for!In years long past, when pharmacists mixed their own ‘ointments’, they used lanolin like this, to mix in whatever powdered medication was needed! I worked in a drug store back then. That is when I discovered that my hands like lanolin, especially after hard work! This is the only lanolin I have found in recent times. It is just like that of years ago! THANKS FOR HAVING IT AVAILABLE!

So… I originally had a tube of this that lasted me a long long time. I purchased it for cracking nipples during breastfeeding. it really helped.CHAPPED LIPS -yep. I have two kids that suck their lips raw in winter. i get chapped also. A bit of this overnight and the healing is like a miracle to me in the morning. It is sticky though!BABY TUSH -i have used it on my sons tush when other products didnt work and seemed to make his rash worse. HAND HINT -warm it in a cup of warm water for smoother application.I will buy again!
