    Easy Meals
After trying a few recipes, what stood out most was how calm and realistic the approach feels. The meals are simple to prepare, use everyday ingredients, and still manage to taste good without feeling like health food. I liked that the explanations focus on why certain foods help with energy, digestion, and inflammation, without getting technical or overwhelming. The recipes fit easily into a regular week, with a good mix of breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and a few lighter desserts, so it feels usable beyond a short reset. Nothing here feels extreme or restrictive, just steady, nourishing food that supports how you want to feel day to day. For clarity, balance, and practicality, this earns five stars.

    Delicious Recipes That Actually Work
This book exceeded my expectations. I bought it hoping to improve joint stiffness and overall inflammation, and I’m already seeing positive changes. The meals are balanced, nourishing, and surprisingly tasty — nothing bland or boring. I also love that the instructions are beginner-friendly and perfect for busy days. It’s rare to find a cookbook that’s both educational and practical, but this one delivers. A must-have for women 40+ who want easy, healthy meals that support real results.

I was thrilled to find recipes that focused on eggs for breakfast.
Getting down to the nitty-gritty of what the anti-inflammatory diet is is just a portion of what you will find in this incredible cookbook. I was thrilled to find recipes that focused on eggs for breakfast. I already eat eggs for breakfast every day, but finding new ways to cook them is always a delight. There are also recipes for Energy smoothies, which I will be trying out soon. There are many other recipe sections that sound really good, as well as a 28-day meal plan. I am glad I picked up this book!

Helpful recipes for energy, balance and everyday life
I found this cookbook to be reassuringly sane and downto earth. it doesnt push hard plans or strict tules. Instead it simply explains how food can support your body at this stage of your life (especially once you hit 40) in a realistic and non shaming way. The recipes are straightforward with accessible everyday ingredients. Recipes doesnt require a special trip to the bodega or the markets. I loved that the meals were quick but still nourishing. I liked that theres a good balance of breakfasts, lunches, dinners and desserts. it makes it conducive to use this book everyyday and not just every once in a while. I appreciated most that there was hormone and inflammation focus without making it confusing The dishes seem smartly obvious and the reasons behind them are explained simply. It helped me to see just how rediculously a little tweak to a meal can mean energy and digestion boost or how they might shape how I ultimately feel in my body and brain. I love the way that this feels supportive of simple steady habits rather than optimal outcomes and encourages those over perfectionism which makes it easier to stick with it long term. If you want meals to feel steadier and more manageable, less bloated and more energized youve come to the right book.

    Use of erythritol
It’s OK. Not a lot of recipes I’d use. And some of the recipes call for erythritol, which has been known to cause heart attacks and strokes if used too much. This is why the book only received 2 stars

Highly recommend for anyone looking to feel better.
I am so glad we found this cookbook. The author strikes the perfect balance between practical guidance and warm encouragement, and it really feels like it was written for women living real lives. The recipes are simple, flavorful, and use ingredients my wife actually has access to, no complicated prep or unrealistic health trends. What I appreciate most is how thoughtfully the book connects food to energy, hormones, and long-term wellbeing without being preachy or overwhelming. Within just a few days of trying the recipes, she genuinely felt lighter, clearer, and more nourished. This isn’t just a recipe collection, it’s a book that makes healthy eating feel achievable and enjoyable.

Inflammare. The anti-inflammatory diet cookbook for women over 40 promises no extremes but a balanced approach to health. The author Isabella Cruz grew up in Greece and claims many of her elders enjoy longevity because of their dietary lifestyles.I like books that show a bit of language flair – inflammatory deriving from the Latin word ‘inflammare’, which means to set on fire. A plant based diet combined with healthy fats is the way to go. Excellent photography throughout.Eggs feature in a lot of the breakfast choices. Some smoothies thrown in for good measure. We can see the Mediterranean influences – tahini, cherry tomatoes, Greek chicken power bowls, quinoa, Moroccan lamb, Mediterranean tuna salad, seafood stew, hummusLunches have choices like citrus shrimp. Snacks, sweets and puddings are catered for too. Cold drinks and herbal teas seem to round the book off nicely before the author publishes details of the 28 day plan.
