I got this book for my mom, who’s in her 60s and wanted to try keto. It’s straightforward, with a super practical 28 day meal plan and easy recipes that even I enjoyed tasting! The advice is simple and encouraging perfect for someone starting out without feeling overwhelmed.While it’s not heavy on science, it’s spot on for anyone looking for tips and a boost to their health. My mom’s already feeling more energetic and excited about meals so it’s definitely worth it.

If you decide to start following the keto diet, then this book will definitely be useful to you. It’s beneficial that it’s adapted for women over 60, as this greatly simplifies the entire process.

Good explanation and understanding of “keto” and “ketosis” how this process works.
This book provides a good understanding of how a keto diet works and why it works especially well as one ages. Author was tenacious in making sure one understood the things needed to stay true to this diet with many iterations. The recipes were helpful in that they illustrate to the reader ingredients that will replace those that are more commonly used but would sabotage the diet. I would have liked recipe measurements to be in more familiar measures and maybe more of a variety of options.

The book really is a 2 star book, but I gave it 3 stars because it did provide a great deal of good information from pages 7 to 40, but then it fell short after that. The recipes were overly simplified and flavored with nothing but salt and pepper, with a suggestion of dill or parsley every now and then. There are no macros given with any of the recipes so if you are like many, you want to know what amounts of macros you are consuming for better recipe adjustment and substitutions, forgetaboutit… Then the final blow was everything was in grams not the American standard of ounces, so I have had to go thru and convert weights to conform with standard packaging information. not happy with the purchase.

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Thin book. A lot of repetition in the book which seemed like filling space on the page. Recipes were more complicated than expected including rabbit on the menu. Who has that readily available.

I liked the 28-day meal plan and the selection of recipes – they are simple, balanced. However, the Kindle version leaves a lot to be desired. There are no illustrations, and the recipe descriptions are quite short in places – I would have liked a little more detail on ingredients and cooking steps.
